NWEVC Mission Statement
Our mission at Northwest Elite Volleyball
Club is to provide a supportive environment in which young student-athletes are provided training in the skills and techniques
of competitive volleyball, while enhancing and developing values that foster leadership in life as well as on the court: responsibility,
self-discipline, cooperative teamwork, sportsmanship and an appreciation for health and wellness.
Our organization
works hard to provide this opportunity to as many girls as possible, keeping costs low but also utilizing the highest
caliber coaching staff available. We are a family-oriented club, upholding family values on our teams, and encouraging
family involvement.
We offer two levels of competition:
Area tournaments, in which a player might expect two
1 1/2-hour practices per week, approximately two tournaments per month, and playtime will hinge upon effort, commitment, skill
and ability.
Travel teams will offers the same number of practices and roughly the same number of in town tournaments,
but more emphasis is placed on these teams placing well in tournaments; therefor play time is based more on
skills and abilities, with effort and commitment also playing a role.

GOALS AND OBJECTIVES
To provide the best possible coaching while
giving each player the opportunity to excel.
To provide a positive experience. We want every member of every
team not only to feel good about their volleyball experience, but to also feel good about her self. We intend to promote a
winning enjoyable attitude while achieving a successful season.
To have FUN!!! We intend to further enhance
each girl’s love for the sport of volleyball while emphasizing having fun.
To promote good sportsmanship
and character. By having coaches who exhibit strong leadership, we intend to develop these important athletic qualities in
all our players.
To develop volleyball skills. The club will provide the best qualified coaches to
reach and develop basic individual and team volleyball fundamentals at the highest level.
PLAYING TIME
Every girl
will have the opportunity to participate in her scheduled practice session. Tournament playing time for every girl will be
an important goal. However, there may be certain times that the coach may play certain players which the coach believes will
help achieve a "win."
PLAYER LEVEL COMMITMENT
We do expect our teams to be serious about their commitment to NW
Elite Volleyball Club. The level of improvement of the individual and the team all depend on a high level of commitment.
Level of improvement and playing time generally follow their commitment level.
TIME INVOLVEMENT
Our season
will run for approximately 8 months, from November through the end of June.
Practices will usually
be twice a week for approximately 1 1/2 hours. Teams may add more days or extra time depending on the needs (and
court availability) of the team.
During the 8 months, each team will play in 2-3 tournaments per month.
These tournaments will usually be either on Saturdays or Sundays. There may be some tournaments that will last 2 days or more.
